CHESTNUTT COTTAGE AND OUR BEACH HUT ARE NON SMOKING PROPERTIES
Whilst hiring our property, the safety of all members in your party is the
responsibility of the person signing the booking form. Please check the cottage and the hut for possible risks and let us know immediately if you have any concerns.
Make yourself familiar with the layout of the holiday cottage so that, in an emergency, you can get out quickly and easily.
Check for the smoke alarm, fire blanket and fire extinguisher, and read the instructions on their use. N.B In case of fire, your first priority is to get you and your family out to a safe place.
A basic first aid kit is in the locked mirrored cupboard in the downstairs shower room and on the high shelf in the beach hut.
Cleaning equipment with materials on high shelves are in the cupboard under the stairs. This cupboard has a high level closing. Please do not allow childen to go in this storage area.
Leaflets are in the house/holiday file regarding the appliances . If you are unsure of how to use any of them, please ask us.
Small 'night' lights are in appropriate sockets (turn on the socket switches to activate) and should come on at dusk if they are switched on.
Children should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Gas appliances in UK properties, by law, have to be installed and maintained by CORGI registered engineers, and the copy of our boiler service certificate is in the house file. If you have any doubts about the efficient operation of any gas appliance in our property, please alert us immediately.
If you have any concerns about the safety of anything at all in our property, whether it be the garden, the equipment, the hut or the facilities, then please tell us immediately.
