SUFFOLK OPEN STUDIOS

Chestnutt Studios will be open 12/13 June. Last year we had approximately 100 visitors, many of whom took home their own piece of handmade paper.
OPEN STUDIOS is a FREE event which takes place in June each year. Artists throughout Suffolk open their studios to the public during June weekends. all details can be found in the FREE directory which is published each year and distributed through libraries, tourist offices, shops etc.
You are invited to, not only set out on a cultural journey exploring the lanes and byways of our beautiful county, but also be welcomed ( often with a cup of tea or cool lemonade) into the studios of over 100 artists, working in a broad range of materials and disciplines that extend and celebrate the visual arts.
Check the directory carefully as studios open at different times and dates. Contact the artist in advance of your visit if you wish. Many of the artists in the directory will welcome you, should you wish to make a personal appointment.
At Blackthorpe Barn, Rougham is the OPEN STUDIOS 'showcase' exhibition (FREE entry). On display wil be work by ALL the SOS artists. A visit to the Blackthorpe Exhibition helps deciding which studios to visit a less difficult decision. The Opening Party is on Friday
