You do not even  have to bring your own bicycle with you to enjoy the delights of cycling in Suffolk. Why not hire a bike when you are here?
from www.heritagecycles.co.uk.

A bicycle ( click for local route information) is perhaps the perfect mode of transport to enjoy the beauty of the Suffolk countryside. Recommended Chestnutt Cottage  could be the perfect base for your Suffolk cycling holiday.
(Click here for further cycle info)

The cottage is situated  near  Buss Creek, just outside Southwold enabling you to benefit from off street parking and safe, dry, locked storage for your bicycles.

Cyclists who have stayed here have enjoyed the comfortable facilities offered by Chestnutt Cottage, such as washing machine, washing line, drying rack, conservatory, constant hot water for baths or  showering, central heating for a chilly evening etc.

Here are some photographs  sent to us by Liz and Andy Bebington, keen cyclists, who stayed at Chestnutt Cottage. They
recommend you invest in  a good map to ensure you make the most of the bridleway network.

The picture at the very top of the  page shows a Dutch  cyclist setting out on a  3 weeks cycle journey that would take him first to Canada then south through the USA. His training for this trip included long rides around roads and bridle ways of the beautiful Suffolk country side - which, by the way, is not all flat. He would describe the  terrain as 'gently undulating'. He personally designed and hand built built this specialist bicycle  with  his exciting venture in mind.
